  • Exclusively represented by ARTCON
  • Collection Available

The FACE OF LIFE Collection comprises the complete body of works presented in Aminul Islam Ashik’s first solo exhibition, FACE OF LIFE. Bringing together more than 40 sculptures, drawings, and installations created between 2010 and 2025, the collection represents one of the most comprehensive surveys of the artist’s sculptural and conceptual practice.

Anchored in the symbolism of the human face and the metaphor of the “seat,” the works explore emotional depth, societal conflict, and political power. Through materials including fibreglass, bronze, iron, and wood, Ashik examines the delicate balance between resilience and vulnerability, personal identity and collective memory. His distinctive artistic language—blending surrealism, political critique, and postmodern expression—offers a profound meditation on existence, power structures, and humanity’s place within nature.

As a cohesive body of work, the FACE OF LIFE Collection reflects the evolution of Ashik’s artistic vision over fifteen years, presenting a compelling exploration of the philosophical, social, and political dimensions of contemporary sculpture in Bangladesh.
